Austin Hatcher Foundation for Pediatric Cancer

The Austin Hatcher Foundation for Pediatric Cancer was formed by Jim and Amy Jo Osborn after losing their two month old son. The mission of the Austin Hatcher Foundation is to erase the effects of pediatric cancer and optimize each child’s quality of life.

Process

We met with the AHF team to get to know their needs. Pediatric cancer is overwhelming for the children, their families, and even the employees at AHF, however, this doesn’t stop them from finding joy when they all gather together. They wanted materials that capture the happiness, activity, and laughter that exists at their organization. AHF has a variety of programs and needed a range of materials to effectively communicate.

We created a pattern and color palette to distinguish each of the three main programs. We then used this color palette in our materials to create three distinct one-pagers for each of the three programs, and a far-reaching one-pager using their brand’s existing main color – avocado green. We also developed a more robust booklet for families and a separate booklet for donors.

Goals

The Austin Hatcher Foundation for Pediatric Cancer provides programming and activities to bring light and joy to the children suffering and their families. All services are completely free to every family member for the lifetime of the family. They were looking for printed materials to share their message and diverse range of programs with their audiences including those benefitting from their services and potential sponsors and donors.
